from Curtin University writes on the accessibility of Blackboard
and Moodle in "Disability and eLearning: Opportunities and Barriers". He points out that pre-LMS course material using simply formatted web pages was compatible with assistive technology. Early LMS caused problems, but this is being addressed, more so with Blackboard than Moodle. One point not mentioned is that access on mobile devices (which is also a proble with Moodle) can be accommodated with the same approach as for accessbility
