e-Learning at Cambridge University

On Wednesday I talked on "Quickly developing online versions of learning materials for graduate students" at the Office of Scholarly Communication, University of Cambridge (UK). Danny Kingsley has some notes of the discussion in her blog "Unlocking Research: Tips for preparing and presenting online learning".

  1. Looks interesting, Tom. I have just come across this blog and will follow it. Have you ever blogged (or do you have ideas about) the teaching of computer programming to large classes? I have recently been asked by computer teachers here in Ireland to investigate some ideas for this. I'm a staff developer, not a computer teacher, so am still in the sleuthing stage on this request. Any ideas or case studies you have on this would be much appreciated.
    Cheers

Not really, I teach computer programmers management skills, in small classes for up to 24.

But you might find the work of Information Technology Educators ACT (InTEACT), of interest.
