Greetings from the National Press Club in Canberra for the launch of the Australian Computer Society annual Deloitte "Digital Pulse" employment report. The report was launched by the Deputy Prime Minister. For me the most important point in the report was that 40% of new technology workers in over the past five years didn't get there via a degree. The had came other forms of qualifications, and workplace training. Thar is okay: when they feel the need for a degree I can help them get it at ANU.
